*note - Interesting note, the British SOE was also purchasing handguns from Llama during the war. The last known German Llama pistol is SN 81708, the Spanish stopped shipping pistols to Germany in June 1944. One British SOE Llama has SN 82301. It is beleieved that these and other Spanish Llama pistols did not end up in Britian, but were air dropped to French resistance (Chuck Yeager, a WW2 Vet mentioned in his autobigraphy that he came accross French resistance airdrops containing “Llama 38s” after being shot down and was making his way back to the Allied lines.
