Abstract
This paper highlights the key concepts that a mature organization—a Level
3 development unit—has to demonstrate and how the RUP components match these
requirements.
Both high project maturity and organization maturity are addressed. In addition,
section 4 provides some good ideas on getting started with the RUP and reports
on some of the major benefits observed by early adopters in various contexts.
