Only way to tell if it is a German contract is on the left side ontop of the trigger guard will be a small crown over a gothic B and/or D, and below that a small Hungarian commerical proof - St.Steven's crown above the letters 'BP' enclosed in a cricle. Random serial numbers for German contract guns go up to 180000

note - “S (Czech Lion) 4” military acceptance stamp indicated Czech military pistol, #4 indicates Military District Hradec Kralove.

note - Austrian acceptance marks also seen on these pistols, “36” or “Hv-36”. These indicate the year 1936

It is beleieved that these and other Spanish Llama pistols did not end up in Britian, but were air dropped to French resistance (Chuck Yeager, a WW2 Vet mentioned in his autobigraphy that he came accross French resistance airdrops containing “Llama 38s” after being shot down and was making his way back to the Allied lines.
